I finally hit 50lbs!!!

So I'm down a total of 52.4lbs.. you are now reading a blog of someone under 300lbs! I'm excited but I still have a long way to go. I've read a lot of inspirational stories of women who've won their battle of the bulge and doing it over time. I'm done trying to look for the quick fix.. the fix is my health and conquering this the right way is the best way for me.  I have so much to be thankful for, I continue to thank God on a daily basis when I've been blessed to see another day. I can feel myself growing spiritually and knowing that the steps that I'm taking in my life are inspiring those around me makes this all the more rewarding!

Today is Weigh in day...

To date I've lost 43.8lbs... last week I had a 1.8lb gain which I think was a lot of water weight. I've been hitting the gym hard.. eating has been on track with a few slips here and there but nothing excessive. My body is changing, I'm wearing a new dress today.. that is ... wait for it..  A SIZE SMALLER!!! I'm super excited about that but it's also giving me the desire to keep going.. today.. I think I will be down to a total of 48lbs.. fingers crossed.. that is sooo close to 50lbs.  Then my next goal will be 75 then 100... I figure if I think about it in 25lb increments then it won't feel so overwhelming.

For breakfast I had coffee, oatmeal and a banana. I have a Healthy Choice entree for lunch.. and I'm going to grill chicken for dinner tonight. I'm excited ... still excited after 6 months in.

Since my brother called me out...

I have not posted in a while, I feel like I've been really struggling with staying on track. Well... after coming back from vacation that is. It's hard when you're the only one who is trying to make good decisions about what you eat. I've been back and forth since I've been back for a week. I really focused today and I went to the gym yesterday.. .remembering this is a life change not a diet! I will be back later to update more

I'm back for real this time.. lol

I decided that I'm so close to losing 50lbs that I need to get back on track. I never fell all the way off but I was really loose with tracking. I think it's been a few weeks since I've used my online tracker for food. I still kept a running total in my head of what I was eating though. I've also been working out more regular.. I can run without wanting to pass out.. well after 20 seconds.. now I'm up to 30 seconds before I'm having a heart attack... kidding.. I feel better, my clothes are fitting differently.. I can't see the progress per say.. but others can. That makes me feel good, but also makes me feel like I was a beached whale before... I'm sticking through this till the end!

I'm BACK!!!!

So I took a break from posting.. I begin to feel like it wasn't helping me.. I felt like I dreaded posting. I figured it out.. I didn't want to post everyday about what I ate but how I felt. So here's so a new start!

I haven't fallen off.. I'm way over 100 days. In my absence I've received my 10% award, my 16 week award and my 25lbs award. I felt it was a little sad that I received my 25lbs before I got to 10%.. that meant I was way too big! Good thing, I said goodbye to that number in January and I'm not looking back.

My life has taken such a crazy turn. Turmoil causing highs and lows but I'm still not giving in. I'm won't say I haven't had my setbacks but I'm staying faithful. This summer we want to take our kids to the amusement park. Last year we went to Six Flags and I was so big I couldn't fit on any of the rides. I tried to act like I didn't care but I really wanted to break down and cry. So my goal this year is the fit.

So far I've lost 36lbs. I'm a little behind where I planned to be but that's not going to deter me. I have started to work out more and I can tell that it's making a difference. I can jog and play with my kids without getting winded.

Another thing happened, I met Julie.. she has been a true inspiration for me to get back to expressing myself.. so Julie.. thank you!

Day 98.. I will catch up one day

Just an update about what's been going on. I've been in a state of depression.. I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. This is a virus that causes inflammation of a nerve that affects one side of your face. I haven't given up on weight watchers, but I did take a break from my blog.. I didn't feel like I could write with the same enthusiasm. I do want to post that as of today I am 318.4lbs.  I have lost a total of 33lbs since the start. I'm very excited and I celebrated with a Churro :)

Day 85.. I'M CAUGHT UP!

Thursday March 31st

I'm feeling worse this morning but I'm still mom so I'm pushing through.

I started this morning with my protein shake, it was hard because I really wanted a biscuit.. but I decided not to spend those.

For lunch I had Chinese, shrimp and broccoli, rice and an egg roll.

Dinner I had McDonald's.. but guess what.. I had a large diet coke, a quarter pounder and a side salad with my own fat free dressing.. so I didn't do too bad! I did snack on some candy from my childhood, peanut butter bars.. yummy!

Breakfast: 7 points

Lunch: 14 points

Snack: 2 points

Dinner: 14 points

Day 84... It's weigh day!

Wednesday March 30th

I started again this morning with my protein shake.. cookies and cream is awesome!

I like to dress and eat lighter on weigh in days.. I'm still sick but I'm pushing through.

For lunch I had a can of soup and a Hostess cupcake.. so let me tell you about this cupcake. I told my husband, no I don't want it.. he said oh come on it's just one.. SABOTAGE!

I go to WW.. jump on the scale.. I'm hoping for 1lb.. I get.. 3.6lbs lost.. WOW... in 12 weeks I've lost 27.8lbs. That's almost an average of 10lbs a month! I'm very proud of myself! I started at 351.2lbs and today I weight 323.4lbs!

We go to the buffet for dinner, I have a big salad, chicken (skin removed), greens, cabbage, mashed potatoes.. one roll covered in butter and half piece of carrot cake. It was a cheat meal of sorts, not sure how to count it so I exhausted the rest of my points for the day!

Breakfast: 7 points

Lunch: 11 points

Dinner: 33 points

Day 83... Only 2 more days of catching up

Tuesday March 29th

I'm starting to feel sick.  I hate this but I feel I just need to push through it.

For breakfast I made my protein shake.. and out the door!

For lunch my friend took me to Chili's. I ordered the chicken fajita lunch sandwich with a salad.. I didn't know it came with fries! She order chips and salsa, I didn't do too bad with those. I didn't eat the bread on the sandwich to save some points.

For dinner.. went back to Chili's .. I wanted to order the chicken fajitas but I couldn't and get all that I wanted.. it's dumb :(  So I ended up ordering fried shrimp with broccoli and black beans.

Breakfast: 7 points

Lunch: 16 points

Day 82.. Almost caught up!

Monday March 28th

Today I have to start my day as a single mom since my husband works on overnight calls. I get up and get ready, get the kids together and I make my protein shake.. I'm out the door!

I didn't get a chance to pack a workout bag and I'm super busy at work. Mad I missed my workout!

I have a dentist appointment, and I don't know about you all but I really hate eating after I get my teeth clean. I'm pressed for time to get back to work so I stop at Boston Market. I figure I could make good choices and stay on track. I got a 3 piece chicken meal, steamed veggies and new potatoes cornbread and a diet coke.

For dinner, we had spaghetti and broccoli.

Breakfast: 7 points

Lunch: 14 points.. I ate the cornbread!

Dinner: 16 points

37 points used today... back on track!

Day 81.. making up ground!

Sunday March 27th

I start this morning with a protein shake and a banana. I figure after the choices I made this weekend I needed to have a better start.

The sermon for today was amazing, about being active and doing God's work. It inspired me to get involved in more activities.

For lunch we went to Jack Stack bbq ... I had a grilled chicken salad with ranch. Well.. when we left.. we went for what.. CUPCAKES.. you know I can be mad all I want that I have these temptations but at the end of the day I'm putting it in my mouth, no one is forcing me. I had 1 cupcake.

For dinner I decided to get Chinese.. figured it was a filling food with a low point value. I had chicken and broccoli, steamed rice and an egg roll.

Breakfast: 7 points

Lunch: 12 points

Dinner: 14 points

Dessert: 8 points (cupcake)

Day 80... uh oh uh oh

Saturday March 26th

Today I'm taking my mother to dinner for her birthday. We're going to Cheddars so I have to make good choices leading up to it.

For breakfast I had to get creative. I made eggs, cinnamon pancakes and fried hotdogs :) I had 1 1/2 hotdogs 2 eggs and 2 pancakes. I had a serving of the Lite Maple Syrup.

For lunch I had ramen noodles.. it was quick and easy :)

So now comes dinner.. first we had to wait for 1 1/2hrs for a table  so in the meantime we walked the mall, I got a smoothie that my kids ended up finishing.

Dinner.. I ordered salmon, broccoli and broccoli and cheese. My mom wanted an appetizer, queso and chips. I decided I would have a few, man their queso is sooo good! I was still careful not to go over board.
Dinner was wonderful! I had a cupcake for dessert

Breakfast: 18 points

Lunch: 10 points

Snack: 2 points

Dinner: 17 points

Dessert: 5 points

I used a total of 52 points for today... my entire daily allowance!

Day 79... I love playing catch up

Friday March 25th

I bought some more protein powder.. the kind from Walmart. So here's the thing, I thought I was buying chocolate but I bought cookies and cream... I was pretty bummed but I decided to give it a try.. NOT BAD AT ALL!!! I dumped a scoop in my coffee.

Today was an odd day, we had a "fun activity" at work today. I was the bearded lady.. pretty sexy one too! I missed my lunch with my friend so I ended up not going until later. In the meantime I ate a turkey sandwich, a deli creation thing. It wasn't bad..

I had a late lunch with my friend .. it all went down hill at this point!

I had a California Roll and half of a Las Vegas Roll... that roll is deep fried with cream cheese :(

After that I stopped for cupcakes.. I went in to get a few and ended up with a dozen!

We went to my in laws to hang out this evening and we had pizza. I had the thin crust from Pappy Murphy's, the Mediterranean Chicken... it was so good I had 4 slices. I thought oh this isn't bad.. I looked it up when I got home and OMG.. I thought eating a salad with fat free dressing would help fill me up but that pizza was so thin that it took a few pieces.

After dinner I ate one cupcake.. there isn't a way for me to gage the points of those cupcakes so I count them higher than maybe what they really are.

Breakfast: 3 points

Lunch: 29 points.. YIKES

Dinner: 20 points Double YIKES

Dessert: 8 points

I freaking used 60 points today.. NO BUENO!!! I tapped in to 8 of my weekly points

Day 78... I'm behind :(

Thursday March 24..

Today.. I tried yoga! I thought it was cool at first then I realized it was too advanced for me.. I realized that I needed a little more flexibility before I tackle that class again. I do want to try a beginners yoga though.

For breakfast I had 1/4 of a donut and a cup of coffee. I love it when people bring in donuts, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy :)

Before lunch, I went to the yoga class.. it was a good experience.

I stopped on the way back and grabbed a salad with grilled chicken and a pasta e fagioli soup. It was very filling!

For dinner I made chicken fajitas. I used low carb tortillas, 2% cheese and salsa. It's a low point dinner and filling at the same time.

Snack: 2 points (forgot to mentioned I munched on some chips)

Day 77.. Weigh Day!

Wednesday March 23rd

Guess what I had this morning.. 1 PIECE OF SAUSAGE.. lol and coffee! It was some protein, I cooked breakfast for the kiddos and I grabbed a piece of sausage before I left the house.

Today is weigh day so I'm trying to be extra good. I went to the gym with some friends, I make fun of them for things they forgot.. ie, sports bras, towels.. and I forgot my tennis shoes. I tried to run barefoot but that was soo painful. I ended up on the stationary bike, I need to find a more comfortable pad for that thing.  I finished with some crunches.. which prompted muscle spams.. that's a good thing right??

After I left my hubby brought me a grilled chicken salad from Burger King.. it was very good! I was full and ready to go! I snacked on some dark chocolate turtles.

Finally, time to weigh in..

I lost... 2lbs!! I total of 24.2lbs lost.. I'm on a roll.. this weight lifting is really paying off!

For dinner I we had fried chicken, skin removed. Mashed potatoes, green beans and I treated myself to 2 biscuits.

Breakfast: 2 points

Lunch: 8 points

Snack: 5 points

Dinner: 30 points

Day 76.. Woo hoo.. catching up!

Tuesday March 22nd.. IT'S MY MOMMY'S BIRTHDAY!

I started this morning again with coffee.. I promise one day soon I will do better!

For lunch I grabbed some Chinese food, I picked the veggies as the side but knowing they cook them in oil I counted 2 points for it. I had chicken and string bean and teriyaki chicken with light sauce.

I went to the gym after work and got my weight lifting workout in.. I felt pretty good. We picked up the kids and grabbed dinner at Denny's.. kids eat free.. YAY!

I'm not sure I made the best decision, I had a Spicy Cowboy beef patty thing.. I made sure all of my sides were veggies though just in case it was the worst thing ever. I had green beans and a salad with ranch dressing. I asked for the dressing on the side so I could control how much.

Day 75... I think this is a milestone!

This morning started with ... NOTHING.. horrible.. but I was soo busy.. I need to plan better to have something to grab for quick meals!

For lunch I went with my friend for sushi.. I had egg drop soup, a California roll and 3 pieces of a Las Vegas Roll.. IT WAS WONDERFUL! I can't eat that often though. Afterwards we stopped at a new cupcake place, I picked strawberry shortcake.. it was soo nasty it tasted just like dirt... well at least I have to tell myself that so I don't go back every day!

For dinner we went to planet sub.. I got a Tuscan chicken sandwich with mushrooms and sundried tomatoes. I had a Greek salad on the side.. I couldn't figure out the points for the sandwich because it's not listed on their website. I figured it was the same as their chicken parm. At that point I had 27 points left for the day so I decided to just count them all and not ate anything else with a point value.

Breakfast: 0 points

Lunch: 17 points

Snack: 8 points (cupcake)

Dinner: 27 points

I figured all of my points for today.. so none left!

Day 74... Sunday.. wow...

So I started this morning really good.. ... .....

I had yogurt, a banana and a small fat free cappuccino ... that was the best part of what I ate today.

We went to a buffet with my church for dinner. I started great with a salad with lite Italian dressing. I had a piece of steak, 1 chicken leg with the skin removed, green beans, asparagus, 1 roll, some chocolate covered marshmallows and strawberries. A couple of bites of carrot cake, about 4 fried mushrooms, 2 pieces of fried fish.. I was soo stuffed! I decided today I won't track .. I gave myself a day off..

For dinner later that evening I had 2 slices of chicken supreme pizza and a large salad with fat free dressing.. so I'm not sure of my points from this day but I won't head down that road again for a while!

Day 73.. it's Saturday!

I got up to cook this morning.. and I wasn't feeling it. So we went out.. I thought I made a good choices. I order 2 eggs over medium.. sometimes I wonder if cooks are bothered when I ask for eggs over medium because rarely do I get them.. they are either over hard or over easy.. but these eggs were PERFECTION!! I asked for wheat toast dry with butter on the side so I could control my own. Ham as my meat selection and a side of potatoes. I had coffee.. I blindly poured in half and half.. the little individual containers .. well I thought to measure AFTERWARDS... each container is about 2 tbsp of creamer.. So after I had my 2nd cu I measured 1 tbsp for my 3rd, better late than never right :)

I didn't eat lunch.. I was so busy with errands that it slipped my mind.. not eating = not good!

We met friends for dinner at Chili's.. They put chips and salsa out on the table. .I was sooo hungry that I dove in.. I had 10 maybe 12 chips max.. I didn't go too crazy.. now my kids on the other hand.. again can put away some food..

I ordered the grilled salmon with shrimp, black beans and broccoli. It was soo good.. I was afraid of the points but I decided to just go for it.

When I got home and added up my points I was very proud of myself.. so I treated myself to a full serving of chocolate covered macadamia nuts!

Breakfast: 19 points

Lunch: 0... bad.. very bad!

Dinner: 17 points including the chips and salsa!

Dessert: 6 points

42 points used for the day!

Day 72... and the marathon continues!

This is for Friday March 18th.. I went on the road.. watch how this plays out!

We took a day trip to St Louis.. about 4 hrs away. I knew that I was going to eat White Castle sliders so I had to be good the rest of the day :D

For breakfast we went to Bob Evans.. I had a veggie omelet made with egg beaters. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't what I wanted more of what I needed. I put some salsa on top, I also had a small cup of fruit and 1 piece of dry wheat toast with 1 packet of jelly.

We were off... my kids were hungry the whole trip of course.. any time we stopped they wanted something to eat. So first stop I grabbed a banana.. they keep me satisfied until a meal.

The next stop I got my son a corn dog and my daughter a  hotdog.. My son didn't really like the corndog so I ate half of it.

For lunch we stopped at Macaroni grill. I opted for the build your own pasta.. I thought I could control what I ate better that way. I selected whole wheat penne noodles, chicken, a spicy red sauce, fresh spinach, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms. The portion size was crazy.. so I ate until I was full but I made sure to eat the veggies first and I left some of the pasta. I had one slice of bread while waiting for my meal.

THEN THEY STOPPED AT WHITE CASTLE.. I was soo full from the pasta but this was definitely going down!  I ordered 4 white castles. I ate 3 1/2... my son ate the other half.. I love you but you didn't tell me you wanted a burger before I went in so you're lucky you're getting this half!

That was the last thing I ate.. I was so stuffed and happy that the night ended with me passing out soon after I got home :)

Day 71... I'm so far behind!

I haven't been making my blog a priority.. I feel like I'm treating it like an unwanted step child.. I love you blog.. and I'm sorry for abandoning you :)

For lunch I had a Smartones and a salad.

I had a great workout. I ran on the treadmill, did the arc trainer (OH MY GOODNESS) that kicked my booty and I lifted weights.

I snacked on 2 of the 2 point ww snack bars.

For dinner I made roasted chicken legs with bbq sauce, greens and mashed potatoes.

I finished off the day with some chocolate covered macadamia nuts.. yum!!

Day 70... IT'S WEIGH DAY!!I

I started the morning with protein.. I had 3 hard boiled eggs and some water.. I thought I would change it up.

Before I ate lunch, I went to weigh in.. down 1.4lbs.. I was elated after this weekend!!!

I grabbed a hoagie for lunch with a small side of baked beans.

Dinner we had chicken, 2 drumsticks and 1 thigh with the skin removed. 1 large baked potato, green beans and homemade biscuits!

Pretty simple day... I'm down a total of 22.2lbs

Breakfast: 6 points

Lunch: 25 points

Dinner: 17 points

Day 69... Still catching up

This is for Tuesday...

This morning started with just coffee.. I know.. not a great start.. but I had to grab something I was super busy!

For lunch I went to the cafeteria ... I asked the guy at the grill.. "can I get a turkey patty wrapped in lettuce?" he was like.. NO... why the heck not??? Finally I got my patty.. I had a diet green tea, a Greek salad and a banana. I had a dark chocolate turtle.

After work I went to the gym, I did my weights and spent 5 mins on the stationary bike.

I snacked on 10 Ritz crackers. 

For dinner  we went to the buffet.. I was like I can attack this with EASE... I started with a HUGE salad with lite Italian dressing. I had a small piece of steak, I had 2 bites it was way too tough!  I had a small portion of popcorn shrimp, a serving of mashed potatoes and gravy, LOTS of green beans, and some cabbage. It was pretty good.. I grabbed 2 chicken legs and pulled the skin off.. I topped it off with a small piece of carrot cake.

Breakfast: 1 point

Lunch: 12 points

Snack: 5 points

Dinner: 16 points

Dessert: 2 points

Day 68.. I've been slacking

I logged in thinking I had updated more recently then I had.. dang since Sunday!! Wow.. ok so now I'm catching up!

This is for Monday..

I started my day light, coming off of this weekend I wanted to get back on track, I didn't want a gain on the scale. For breakfast I grabbed a banana and coffee with creamer.. not the best breakfast but it was something on my belly.

For lunch I had a girls outing and we went to On the Border. I had the chicken fajita salad... I asked for ranch on the side and extra salsa. I counted for less dressing and to add the salsa to the salad as the dressing. I had a few chips and some black been dip. I broke the chips into smaller pieces so I didn't feel deprived.


My husband has some chocolate chip cookies in the house.. yeah it's become a lot harder!! I had 1 but they weren't bad.. it was 2 points for 1 cookie.

For dinner I made chili, topped with some 2% cheese and some multigrain crackers.

Breakfast: 1 point

Lunch: 20 points

Day 67... I'm trying to fight my way back to the top!

As I'm getting ready for church I know that I have to do better today.. yesterday was a complete and total train wreck! I started with a vanilla protein shake.. I left the banana out and ate half a banana separate.

For lunch we went to Red Lobster... dun dun dunnnnn.... sigh.. I wish it was easier to fight the temptation of those wonder cheese biscuits.

I choose the Sailor's Platter.. it actually was a pretty ok choice.. I had broccoli as a side and a salad with ranch. I did have 2 biscuits though.

After we left we stopped by the cupcake place.. I really need to stay away from temptation, this weekend I was drawn to everything bad .. all at once. I understand that this plan is flexible enough that I can have those things but not all in one weekend!

I was sooo tired that I came home to crash, daylight savings is wonderful isn't it???

For dinner, I knew that I needed to be really good. We had Chinese and I order chicken and broccoli with steamed rice.. now that I think about it.. I didn't ask for steamed rice she just knew. She actually said when I called.. oh I miss you.. where have you been. Sad that I'm a regular "voice".

No dessert tonight!

Day 66.. I think I've hit the bottom!

I wake up to cook breakfast for my troop... I made 28 sausages, 16 pancakes and 16 eggs.. I'm sure I could've fed the homeless of my city!

I had a small portion of eggs, 2 sausage, 1 cup of orange juice, 2 pancakes with lite syrup. I also cut up strawberries with a sprinkle of sugar.

The bad eating starts now.. I ate 2 chocolate covered macadamia nuts.. they are soo good but soo bad!

For lunch I decide well if I only eat one chili dog and a big salad then I will be good... well not so much.. I looked up the points and I'm like WOW!! I did measure 1 tbsp of chili and less than a serving of 2% cheese.

For dinner I made cheese burgers.. yes it just keeps getting better! I did again use 2% cheese and lean ground beef. I got myself low calorie wheat buns to go with my burgers. I put a lot of tomato and lettuce on my burger, I had about 10 french fries and two.. yes I said TWO burgers.. I felt my old self coming back, I didn't like that feeling.

For dessert I picked up some gelato from the mall, when I looked up the point value it was very low!

Ashamed to say that I used a total of 69 points for one day.. I dipped in to my weekly points by 15 points in one day! I'm pretty ashamed... but it's good to know that tomorrow I have a chance to have a fresh start.

Day 65... the downward sprial

I'm at day 65 .. it's Friday and I'm ready to face the weekend. I start the morning with a banana and coffee.. I think.. I didn't track my food until Monday so I hope I captured breakfast right. I do remember everything I had.. I think :)

For lunch I had my pasta I made the night before.. I was trying to hurry up and finish my report for work so I could leave early, I was excited because my niece and nephew were coming over. Right before I left work I was soo hungry and I was going to the gym for a quick work out but I didn't want to go on an empty stomach so I had a handful of fruit loops.. I know I know.. but it was the only thing I could grab at the moment.

At the gym I work out on the stationary bike for about 5 mins, long enough to jack up my heart rate. After that I hit the weights for about 30 mins. I felt really good after my workout. I ate a cup of yogurt right after.

We picked up all the kids.. all 4 of them.. and went to Costco so I could get enough food to feed my new small army. I got hamburger meat and hotdogs.. this was the beginning of the end.

After we left we took the kids to Power Play and went to the buffet. So I figured I could tackle this buffet with ease. I started by making myself a HUGE salad with lite Italian dressing. That was prob the best decision I made.. I had 1 slice of meat lovers pizza, a tiny amount of shrimp Alfredo, a tiny amount of chicken fried rice.. btw I didn't eat all of this stuff wasn't very good. I had half a roll, about 5 pieces of popcorn chicken and about 5 fries. It wasn't horrible.. but it wasn't great. I then had a cinnamon roll... that was the LAST thing I ate that night!!!

Day 64... it's the day after

I decided to give the protein a break.. I want to see if the scale will make a difference next week. I have to change things here and there to determine what works well in my weight loss.

I started this morning with some WW Apple and Cinnamon oatmeal, I didn't care for it at all!!! I choked it down, I will use the rest of it for recipes or if I'm out of everything else.  I had a few strawberries and coffee with 1tbsp of creamer.

For lunch we went to a pizza place, it was pretty good. I order a 6 inch whole wheat crust with chicken and mushrooms. I ordered a small Greek salad and asked for the dressing on the side. I used about 1/4 of the dressing the gave me.. I would eyeball it at about 1/2 tbsp. It was pretty good. Coming back to e-tools to figure those points was a challenge but I did it.

I snacked on a WW dark chocolate turtle and  peanut butter bliss bar,

For dinner I made a chicken pasta with sauteed onions and bell pepper, steamed broccoli, and a four cheese sauce worth 3 points per serving. It was pretty good.. I need to put it in the recipe builder to get a more accurate total.

Day 63.. it's Weigh Day!

Going in to weigh day I always get nervous.. I want to make sure I eat light because I don't weigh in until later in the day. I also make sure I'm not wearing heavy clothes so I go right after work. I started this morning with my banana protein shake. I feel like I've become a pro at whipping those up.

I had to run an errand over lunch, it didn't take as much time as I thought it would. I then debated what I should eat for lunch.. I thought well I could go here, or go there... I came back to work and went to the cafeteria and get a salad with grilled chicken.

I went to weight watchers and I got on the scale... down .4lbs.. ok.. so yes it's a loss but not what I was hoping for. I thought well maybe since I lost so much last week I had to balance out.. During the meeting I talked about my blog... and when the leader asked what the name of it was, I hesitated because I didn't want to offend anyone. Then I thought, that wasn't my intention behind the name of my blog so I blurted it out.. the group erupted with laughter.. It was a conversation piece afterwards. I felt pretty good about sharing it, I might take the link to the next meeting.

For dinner we had Subway.. the woman making my sandwich was very chatty... she put  way more Light Mayo on my sandwich than I wanted but I figured I was good with points, I would just count the extra. I had a footlong Subway Club with only 2 slices of pepper jack cheese instead of 4 (sooo yummy) no chips and water to drink.

Day 62... it's Tuesday.. YAY

I started my morning with my banana protein shake.. It's still throwing me off that there are points to add a banana to a shake. Anywho... today I have to take my daughter for an evaluation so I needed to get as much done as I could before I leave for that. Today is also the day of the funeral for the baby of a dear friend of mine. My heart goes out to the family and they are in my prayers.

After my daughters appointment, we took her to lunch. She loved being able to eat lunch with her mom and dad. It used to always be just the 3 of us so I'm sure having us to herself made her day. We went to Ken-Taco-Hut... anyone from KC knows what this place is. It was great, I had fresco tacos from Taco Bell, my daughter had a pizza from the hut and my husband had KFC.

After lunch, I took her back to school and I went back to work. I was at home so I could grab food freely, I ended up eating two banana's. They are a very filling fruit!

For dinner we went to Cheddars... soo I love their broccoli and cheddar casserole.. I was going to order that but I decided I wanted to try one of those croissants. I wish I had stuck with the casserole.. it wasn't bad but just ok. I had 2 servings of steamed broccoli and about 1 3/4th pieces of grilled catfish, my daughter finished the rest of it.  I was pretty proud of the decision I made.

Day 61... Start of a new work week

I woke up this morning and I was exhausted! This weekend was crazy.

I got up, got my kids ready and made my banana protein shake. So here's the thing, when I put all of the ingredients in the shake on etools it gave me a point value of 8 vs 4, 2 points for milk and 2 points for protein powder. I called WW today and asked why, they informed me when you add all of the ingredients together because of the sugars it adds a point value. I wonder if I will keep the banana on the side next time to save 4 points.

For lunch my friend wanted to go to sushi.. I had promised it to her and I couldn't break that promise. I had a California roll, salad with ginger dressing and egg drop soup.

I snacked on a WW cinnamon bar.. WW makes great snacks!

For dinner we went to Applebees... I had the bourbon chicken and shrimp.. Applebees have lessened their portion sizes.. while this is good to help not to over eat I feel like what I had was over priced, and it wasn't very good.  I also had a side of  broccoli and iced tea. There was garlic butter on the shrimp and chicken so I counted points for that.

Not a bad day.. and NO DESSERT!!!

Day 60... My mom should get out today!

Before I go to the hospital I'm going to church with my family.  I made my banana protein shake again.. so good! It keeps me pretty full for a good part of the day.

From church I went straight to the hospital and sat with my mom. I stayed for about 1 1/2 hrs, I had to get a report done for work and I couldn't connect at the hospital. I went to my in laws and ate dinner.. I had a big salad with low fat French, bbq'd chicken, 1/4 cup of baked beans, green beans and a few baked fries.

I got my mother in law hooked on those cupcakes, she went about bought 1 dozen. I had just one.. that was the last meal I ate for the day. It's not a regular thing that I do that so I'm not too mad at myself but I won't make a habit out of it.

I got to take my mom home! The day ended well ;)

Day 59... Saturday

My mother calls me at 12:45am to inform me that they are admitting her to the hospital. I'm freaking out but I'm so dead tired from my workout. I told her I would be at the hospital first thing in the morning. I got up right before 7 put my daughter in the shower and combed her hair. I whipped up a protein shake and I was out the door to see about my mommy.

This morning's protein shake was just banana... and you know what.. I loved it!  It was so much better than trying to mix berries with it. I could drink it without having to chew!

I got to the hospital and she's in pain.. I'm there to be with her for support and trying not to get in the way of the nurse. I could tell she was happy that I was there with her, she was all alone.

I left to get lunch when my brother got there, I went to pick up Chinese food. I love going to Panda Express because I can get veggies as a side. So I got that, mushroom chicken and string bean chicken. They must have put a lot of fat in their sauces or something because my meal was 12 points.

I ate and when back to the hospital to stay with my mom.

My husband brought the kids up and we all left together, we were going to get a funnel cake but the place closed. I went to Chipotle to get a chicken burrito bowl with half the rice, mixed beans, lettuce and guacamole.  I ended up going to SmallCakes to treat everyone to cupcakes for dessert.. it was soo good!

Breakfast: 7 points

Dessert: I figured it at 8 points.. wasn't sure.

With the cupcake I used a total of 38 points for the day.

Day 58... it's Friday!

I started my day with a protein shake, I had cherries and strawberry this morning.. NO BANANA!

My friend was back from Hawaii and brought me chocolate covered macadamia nuts... oh wow.. they are soo good! I had 1.

It was a pretty run of the mill morning. I felt well enough to go to the gym today.. I ran on the treadmill between 5 to 10 mins to warm up to hit the weights. I did a full circuit of weights.. kicked my tail!

I came back to the office and had spaghetti and salad for lunch.

For dinner we took the kids out and I ordered rotisserie chicken, wild rice pilaf and grilled veggies. They took a long time getting us food so they gave us a free dessert.. it was monster size! I was good. I ate about 1/2 cup of ice cream, 2tbsp of whipped cream and 1 half piece of the chocolate cake.

Day 57... I'm on a roll!

I'm still excited about my accomplishment on the scale.. I'm on cloud 9! I started this morning with a protein shake. If you remember the powder I kept talking about that I couldn't mix in my coffee. Well it worked much better in the blender! I mixed 1 scoop with 1 cup of skim milk, 1/2 a banana and 1/2 cup of strawberries and a few ice cubes. It was pretty tasty but tomorrow I will leave out the banana. 

For lunch I had soup and a salad, pretty simple but filling. I had a WW snack bar to top it off and plus I had a nasty taste in my mouth.

For snack I had another WW snack bar.

For dinner I made spaghetti with lean ground beef and green beans. I also had a cupcake for dessert.

Pretty good day!

Day 56... Today is Weigh Day!

I'm feeling a little better this morning.. I'm still sluggish and I feel like I need Mucinex. I swear Zicam is wonderful, a co-worker tried to tell me it was a placebo.. It's not in my head! This stuff works!!!

This morning I had coffee, a banana and some oatmeal.. as I sit here typing I just remembered I left my bowls in the kitchen at work.... ugh.. I hope no one touches my stuff!! Any who... I had a super busy day and I barely had time to think about eating..

Lunch I had a smart ones Chicken, Broccoli and Rigatoni with a salad with my light Italian dressing.

I barely got a glass of water in I was so busy..

So I went to my meeting.. I got on the scale .. I'm down 4.8lbs in ONE WEEK!!! Grand total of 20lbs LOST!! I wanted to shout but I kept my composure!!! Of course in the meeting the give award for every 5lbs lost and other milestones.. She forgot to mention my 5lbs last week so she did that at the beginning of the meeting. Then at the end another 5.... I was pretty proud of myself.

I'm sitting here typing this right now and my 3 year old son wants to hang off of me.. Kids want their attention and they want it when they want it.

I went to the store to pick up a few things for dinner, we decided on spaghetti. I picked up some salad stuff and I was in the pasta aisle when a lady come over the PA.. Pizza 2 slices for $1.. that didn't excite me.. but then she followed.. Family size pizza's for $3.. and well.. who am I to turn down such an amazing price.. so I got 2 .. 1 sausage and 1 veggie. I'm still struggling with this illness so I only ate one slice because I made a big salad first.. I was soo full.. I FINALLY GOT MY PIZZA! I was happy that I was able to eat one slice and feel satisfied. I plugged everything in to my tracker and I have 24 points left for the day.. I might have strawberries for dessert!

Day 55... ok.. I'm sick :(

I woke up this morning feeling really crummy.. I've been taking Zicam so I think it's taken a lot of the edge off of it... but I can still feel the crummy :(

For breakfast I had coffee with creamer and a banana. The mushy feeling and the hot liquid felt good for my throat.

Lunch I had some minestrone soup and 2 crackers.. not a huge appetite today.

I did snack on a cupcake.. but it didn't taste all that great.

Dinner we had rotisserie chicken with cheddar broccoli noodles and green beans. I only had 2 pieces of chicken.. it's usually like 3 or 4.

I did have some candy for dessert but I counted it.. 4 points.

Day 54.. Monday .. I'm starting to feel a little ill

I have to talk about my morning. So anyone who knows me knows I love me some coupons.. If I don't have to pay full price then I'm excited! I bought a Chick-fil-a calendar and each month there's a coupon. I had a coupon that expired on the last day of February for a yogurt parfait and a bottled water. I felt that would be a great start to my day... so I pull up.. I order my free items and they offered me a free spicy chicken biscuit. Who am I to turn down something free.. I pulled up to the window and didn't give them a dollar... I got to work and I checked the nutrition information for the parfait and the biscuit.. The parfait was 8 points and the biscuit was 12... sigh.. I can't eat both. I gave the biscuit to my preggo friend, her baby boy enjoyed it :)

I forgot my lunch so I bought a salad at the cafeteria. Grilled chicken and light Italian dressing. I didn't get cheese or the bread that came with it, I also had a cup of soup.

I went to the gym to get a personalized work out with a trainer at the gym... I feel like I will make great progress now that I know how to used these weight machines properly.. I'm excited!

For snack I had a WW sweet and salty bar. WW makes some really good snacks :)

For dinner I had 1 cup of Hamburger Helper (thanks hubby) and broccoli.

I wanted dessert so I had a banana.

Day 53.. I have a sick baby :(

I'm at home from church today, my son woke up with a fever.. so of course mommy to the rescue. I'm looking at him and he's already 3 and it seems like just yesterday he was crawling.. now he's a walking, talking, FIGHTING.. little person.. so when he's sick and he wants to cuddle I take full advantage.. I usually pay for it later with my own sick bug.

I made myself 3 eggs and 2 pieces of toast with reduced sugar jelly for breakfast. My stomach is shrinking and I don't need to eat as much.

For lunch I had 2 pieces of toast, some 94% popcorn and 1 mini cheeseburger... again not a huge appetite.
Dinner I made roast with potatoes, carrots and onions. I made broccoli as a side and serving cracked wheat rolls. Dinner was GREAT... and no I'm  not biased.. if it wasn't good I'll say so. To top off my good behavior I had a cupcake.. I really need to put my foot down and not let any more of these in to my house!

Day 52... Saturday at home

Today started with me cooking breakfast for my family. Since I am now the only one counting points (lol) I cook my eggs separate from theirs. I had 3 eggs over medium, 3 pieces of turkey sausage and 2 piece of my Smartwheat toast with butter spray with reduced sugar jelly. My kids actually prefer it to the regular stuff!

For lunch it was light and simple, I had ramen noodles..which are 10 points for the package!! I made sure to drink plenty of water to flush the salt. I also had a banana.

I went to Costco and I passed up a lot of samples.. very proud of myself. I did however have the light yogurt, some tuna and some tomato soup. I counted 5 points for everything I had.  I then stopped by the food court and I couldn't pass up the Churro.. they were like 5 feet long.. ok maybe I exaggerate but they were at least 1 foot. I ate half and gave the other have to my hubby. I looked that up on E-tools and counted 4 points.

For dinner I made chicken with sauteed onions, some chow mein noodles and green beans.

I had a cupcake for dessert.

Day 51...Pretty Normal Day!

When I posted day 50 it kinda hit me.. yeah I'm down 15lbs but it would've been nice to maybe have been 25.. at least half of the number of days I've been at this. I then remembered that this is a journey and not a overnight wham bam miracle. I'm not giving up.. but it's helping me put things in perspective.

For breakfast I had a banana and coffee, I was too lazy to wash out my oatmeal bowl :)


For lunch I had a big salad with Zesty Light Italian dressing and a Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer. Chicken Pesto Classico.. and I was actually pretty good. Last time I had Healthy Choice it wasn't very good.

I snacked on some 94% FF popcorn.

Now here is the crazy part.. I had 40 points left for dinner but I don't ever want to go in to dinner thinking that I should eat ALL of those points. We went to Planet Sub and I remember on the old plan the chicken parm sandwich wasn't that bad. I ordered that and soup. I then found the nutritional information and started to figure my points. The sandwich was 17 points and the soup 10. Thank goodness I had enough points left to cover that meal. I passed on dessert because I didn't feel like I needed or wanted it.

It was a pretty good day.

Day 50.. I can't believe I just typed 50!!!

Coming off of the high of being 15lbs lighter I don't lose momentum.. if anything it pushes me to lose another 15 and then another 15! I hope is that now that I'm working out more then those pounds will come off quicker!

This morning started the same, oatmeal and coffee. I did add a banana this morning.

For lunch I had a Chicken Parmesan Smart Ones with a salad with light Italian. I had another cupcake.. I counted it though.

For snack, I had a WW Cinnamon Bar.

Well... my husband who is no longer on WW asked if I wanted a small fry from McDonald's.. I was screaming no inside my head but yes came out of my mouth.... I counted it.. 6 points.. and I can stay.. they were pretty good..

For dinner I made shake and bake chicken drumsticks with the crispy coating. I saw a recipe on the box to dip the chicken in barbecue sauce before coating. I was nervous to try it but it was something different. With that we had corn on the cob with butter spray and broccoli. We also had the Bread Du Jour Cracked wheat rolls for 2 points a piece, I had 2 with butter spray..

I ended the night with a cupcake.. I know but I had the points and I really wanted one so I ate it.

Day 49... Weigh Day!!!

Today I had a plan on how I would attack it, I knew that I had to weigh in today so of course that meant wear light clothing. I got to work and started with a simple breakfast. I had coffee with 1 tablespoon of powder creamer and a packet of oatmeal.  This is actually not a bad start to the day, keeps me full until lunch time.

Lunch I brought it today.. GO ME!! I had a salad with mushrooms and light Italian dressing and a Smart Ones Creamy Rigatoni with Broccoli. I didn't snack because I knew I had to weigh in.

I went to the gym during the afternoon to get a "last chance workout" yeah I might be a dork for quoting The Biggest Loser but I feel like at times I'm going through my journey with them.. they are just going at an accelerated pace :) I had a really good workout, I pushed myself harder than I did the day before. I cooled off by shooting around in the gym.

By time I left my legs felt like jello and the first thing I wanted to do was eat something but I didn't want to chance anything affecting that scale.

So I make it to the center and I strip off as many pieces of clothing that I can.... down 1.2lbs.. with is a total of FIFTEEN POUNDS!!!! I was sooo excited! I feel like I've made some really great strides and the sacrifices that I've made are paying off!

When my husband came to pick me up I shared the good news and well .. I ate a cupcake.. now I know you might think this is horrible but I had the points left AND I haven't had a dessert in a couple of days so I felt that I could give myself this little treat.

When I got home I had a small snack of cheese and PB crackers, the 100 calorie packs. I made dinner which was Cheeseburger Macaroni Hamburger Helper. I made it with skim milk and it saved 2 points per serving. We had wheat rolls, spinach and asparagus with it. I had 21 points left for the day and I didn't have another dessert!

Day 48... Tuesday and back to work...

Having that extra day off threw off my schedule.. I felt so lost this morning trying to get ready. I made it and we were off...

I started the day with coffee and a cereal bar, I'm out my protein so I need to pick some more up .. pronto!

Lunch my friend talked me in to sushi... you ask.. how is this possible.. well.. it's sushi :)
I had a California roll, egg drop soup and a salad with ginger dressing.

I snacked on some weight watcher products. The apples and cinnamon bar, I love that! Then a little later I had a dark chocolate turtle.. best ever!

Guess what I did today Bobby.. I WORKED OUT!! I was pressed for time so I went in on about 30 mins of cardio... tomorrow weight training. 

Dinner we went to a steak house.. I feel like some of my decisions aren't the best lately... they bring rolls to the table.. it's like bread is my weakness! I had 2, then I had to try fried green beans.. I had 2 1/2. Then I had a salad with low fat ranch, and a bbq chicken with cheese and fried onions strings. Now.. I pulled the cheese off but I ate the onions.. but I counted them. They brought my rolls but I didn't have another.. I drank plenty of water to fill up any empty space left making me think I wanted anything more.

Lunch: 13 points, I added 2 points for 1 piece of fried sushi I had

Day 47... Monday.. and guess what...MY COMPANY IS OBSERVING A HOLIDAY!!!

I haven't had President's Day off since I was in school.. now we won't talk about how long ago that was but let's just say... it's been some years.. (about 2 wink wink) It was nice to sleep in though!

For breakfast, I started off really well.. lol.. notice I said started off.. I had 1 1/2 cups of Honey nut Cheerios and 1 cup of skim milk..

For lunch, we went to the movies and to the fork and screen. I had a grilled salmon sandwhich with bacon and a side salad with ranch.. trust me, this was prob one of the better options.

I didn't have a snack... again.. the eating choices weren't "great"

For dinner we had soft tacos. We used low carb and low fat flour tortilla's, lean ground beef and had green beans.. my family is very picky. I had some fat free refried beans and 2% shredded cheese. It was pretty good.

Day 46... Sunday heading to church!

Getting to church on Sunday's are really hectic... we didn't really have anything to eat, the adults that is. We stopped at Quicktrip on the way and I grabbed coffee and a banana.

The sermon was wonderful for what I could hear over children falling, kids whining and being poked by bigger kids... fun!

After church we went back to my in laws for dinner.. and wow... what a dinner. We has rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, greens, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and did I mention RIBS!!! I think I did a pretty good job... or so I thought!

I had 2 ribs, 1 chicken breast, 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes, 3 ROLLS with butter.. I know I know :( greens and green beans and corn. Then later on I had 1 brownie.. I figured I was probably tapping in to my weekly points.

I thought I made good choices while not depriving myself.

Later that night we had Chinese, I figured I needed to eat something loaded with veggies to counteract what I had done earlier. So stay tuned for my point break out.. mad about it!

Lunch: 40... yes I said 40 points in one freaking sitting!!!  You know ribs are about 8 points a piece!!??!?!?!? I was really mad at myself when I added up all the points.. needless to say.. I won't be eating ribs again anytime soon!

Dinner: 10 points with rice and Shrimp and veggies

Day 45... Saturday and I'm feeling good.. I think

Let me tell you about today... I had this idea that I was going to have a great day.. and for the most part it was.. so this is how it went down.

For breakfast I had 2 fried eggs, a half piece of lean ham, half of a waffle with fruit compote. A side of fruit instead of potatoes, and 1 cup of coffee with half and half.

For lunch I had a bag of baked lays and a pb&j... I bought this new natural peanut butter.. man... I will go back to the full of fat stuff as soon as this jar is gone! UGH!!!

For dinner we went to a Mexican restaurant.. I have to talk about how good I was.. so proud of myself. I had about 4 or 5 tortilla chips with chunky salsa. I had 1/2 cup of refried beans, I didn't eat the rice. I order chicken fajitita's and ate 2 tortillas with guacamole and salsa and roughly 2 cups of chicken. YUMMY!!! I drank water with dinner so that saved more points.

For dessert we made chocolate covered strawberries.

Day 44.. today is Friday.. that's it!

Today I started with coffee.. I was only working half a day at work and I needed to get a lot done. I was going to treat myself to a fat free cappuccino from Quick Trip (yes I'm fancy) but the machine was out of order. I ended up having coffee with cream and splenda.

For lunch we had to eat on the go so we went to Wendy's. I had a crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad with fat free french. It's not easy eating a salad in the car! I had a couple of fries too.. I counted 1 point for the fries.

Sooo.. I had a real treat! We stopped at Dunkin Donuts and I got 1 jelly filled Munchkin with was 2 pts and 1 chocolate frosted donut which is 6 points. I ate the munchkin for a snack and decided to eat the other donut for dessert.

Dinner we had spaghetti, whole wheat rolls and green beans... prepared by the hubby.. WOO HOO!!! Mainly because I had to get a report for work done but still.. thank you baby for making dinner!

I did have my donut for dessert and I'm not going to lie and say it was horrible.. IT WAS FABULOUS!!!

Breakfast: 1 point

Lunch: 13 points

Snack: 5 points, I also had a 3 point WW bar

Dinner: 18 points

Day 43... Today I will .... dun dun dun... WORK OUT!!!

This morning started off kinda rocky... then followed by I ran out of the good protein powder. I tried the other stuff again... and guess what.. STILL NASTY. I sucked it down though so I could get that protein... I just don't like to chew my coffee! I also had a banana and a cereal bar.

For lunch I brought a turkey sandwich with some chicken and veggies soup. It really bothers me that they still have products with the old point value on store shelves.. it's misleading. When I re-figured the point value it increased by one.. oh did I tell you when I lost weight I lost another daily point.. not mad about that at all!

So I worked out.. I went to the gym for an abbreviated workout, I had to get my daughter to girl scouts in time. I walked and ran on the treadmill ... guess what I didn't pass out.. hahaha..  I did have to slow that sucka down because I didn't want to fly off the back of it! It actually felt pretty good to get back in the gym. I'm looking forward to going back.. oh and my makeup didn't melt .. BONUS! 

When I got home I had a small snack of some kinda of natural peanut butter.. yeah i didn't like that.. as soon as this jar is gone I'm going back to the good stuff!

I made burgers and fries for dinner. I mixed on pound of ground beef with one pound of ground turkey. My family loved it! I also tried these new Orowheat Sandwich Thins... I'm not sure how i feel about these. I still have my Smartwheat Wonder bread that is 1 pt a slice vs this thin and I mean UBER THIN thing that was 3 points.. I think this is the first and last time I buy this.  Dinner was good, but fries are hard, you only get 12 to count for 3 points. I think I had about 15 so I added an extra point. I put my burgers in the recipe builder and they came out to about 6 points per patty.. not horrible.. but mixed with a 3 point THIN.. not all that great. I had 2 because I had the points and I was pretty hungry, however I wrapped the 2nd one in lettuce.

Pretty good day I would say.

Day 42... Today is WEIGH DAY!!!

I have to get on the scale today... I'm going to be real honest. When I gained last week I felt a small twinge of defeat.. I was like if I get on this scale 2 weeks in a row and gain I want to give up... That thought crossed my mind but I felt that I've come this far and it's not time to quit.. it's never time to quit... That was my first setback, I need to plan to have a few because I am only human but the thought of giving up is a thing of the past.. I will just look at it as.. Tomorrow is a new day...

Ok now that I'm done with my Hallmark moment..

So I have to get on the scale today, I am very careful to pick out clothing that would be lighter.. and if I have to freeze in the colder weather, then so be it. Every thing counts!

I started my day with my coffee and protein power, some yogurt and a banana. I am loving protein powder!

I am going out for a girls night with my friend so I'm skipping the meeting tonight so I'm going to weigh in over lunch. I get to WW and I strip down as far as I can.. I wore a tank top under my sweater.. this was part of my plan.. stripping! :)

GLORY!!! I lost 2.8lbs... I was ready to do a happy dance.. ok.. I did a happy dance.. and they did it with me.. I was sooo excited to see almost 3lbs gone in one week!

With that satisfacation I went back to work and ate my lunch I packed. I had a turkey sandwich, Lay's light chips and some steamed aspargus.

For a snack I had a sweet and salty WW bar.

Just before I left work I was going to the movies and I didn't want to be tempted with popcorn. I had another WW bar, this time the Apple and Cinnamon. When I got there I ordered a large diet soda.. something to sip on to keep me occupied and sweet to curve any cravings. It worked!

We went to Chili's for dinner, now i love this girl to death but she was like you're on your own. She ordered a triple dipper with burgers, egg rolls, and cheese sticks.. then she ordered dessert. I ordered salmon, grilled w/o butter, grilled shrimp with broccoli and a side salad with low fat ranch. You know.. I really didn't even pay attention to what she ate, I didn't crave it, I didn't ask for a piece of anything.. Really I was just fine. I had water to drink and I was very satisfied.

On the way home, I stopped by McDonalds and got ice cream cones for me and the hubby.. nice end to a great day!

Day 41.. Tuesday .. just another day

When I got to work this morning I was really hungry.. I grabbed a cereal bar before my computer was logged in. It did the trick to hold me until I got my protein powder and coffee.

For lunch I had a chicken pita with a small Greek salad.. I tried not to lick the plate but I'm not sure if I was successful.

For lunch I had another WW baked apple and cinnamon bar.. I ran out so I need to stock up when I go back.

Dinner we had chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and 1 roll. I drank a small cup of kool aid, I wish I hadn't it wasn't good enough to waste points on.

Breakfast: 5 points

Lunch: 15 points

Snack: 3 points

Dinner: 11 points

Day 40.. Monday .. Valentine's Day!

This morning started as many Monday's do.. but my daughter was so excited about the holiday that she couldn't wait to give me her homemade card. It was so cute! She made one for her brother and her father too.  I got to work and left a V card for my hubby so he knows how much I love him!

ok enough sappy stuff. So for breakfast I had coffee and protein powder.

Lunch I had a salad with grilled chicken and fat free Italian dressing.

At the cafeteria they had samples of the new peanut butter snickers, I took 2. I had those after lunch, when I looked up the point value it was 7 points for 2 squares.. well it was worth it :)

For snack I had a WW baked apple and cinnamon bar.. they are so yummy!

For dinner my husband went and bought a nice dinner for us to make together. We had chicken breast coated in shake n bake.. angel hair pasta and broccoli. He bought some sparkling grape juice.. I measured it. For dessert he bought some chocolate covered strawberries. It was a very nice V day.. he did very well!

Day 39... Sunday at home :(

This morning I woke up and remembered that I needed to get my report for work done. I had ZERO motivagtion.. I kept finding everything else to do instead. I cooked breakfast, I had 2 eggs, bacon and toast with reduced fat jelly. I was pretty good!

For lunch I had a cup of white rice, shrimp and veggies and egg drop soup. I had a tiny piece of my son's pizza too.. I finally got my pizza fix.

I snacked on some chocolate pudding.. yummy!

For dinner I had TACO BELL!!!! Ok I was mad because I asked for a freso style taco salad and they gave me a big shell .. I didn't eat it. For dessert I had a WW Giant Fudge Bar

Breakfast: 12 points

Lunch: 14 points (including pizza)

Day 38... going out for Valentine's Day!

I knew we were going to dinner tonight for Vday but I had no idea where we were going. I kept that in mind and tried to eat light throughout the day. Oh I should mention.. my husband quit Weight Watchers for now. He was diagnosed with high blood pressure so he felt that he needed to work on a diet for blood pressure.

This morning I took my daughter to Lowe's for a craft session.. We had to grab breakfast on the way. We went to McDonald's and I remember how the egg mcmuffin vale meal wasn't too bad. So I ordered that and a bottle of water. When I got home and plugged it in to the etools tracker.. OMG.. the sandwich was 8 points and the hashbrown was 4 points. I really need to learn these new points when I'm on the fly.


For lunch I got Sonic for the family.... remember my husband is supposed to watch his sodium intake.. YEAH RIGHT.. he's loving eating whatever again.. So anyway, I got a salad from the store and ate a Lean Cuisine.

We went to the movies and I had a couple of hand fulls of popcorn and a WW snack bar and a large diet coke.

For dinner he took me to KONA GRILL... OMG. I have a pact with a friend about eating sushi.. but wow how could I resist.. I will make it up to her!  I still tried to make good decisions.. I had 2 rolls and some chili then we split a brownie for dessert. I don't have a clue how many points but I know I went in to dinner with 31 points so I will just have to open that I didn't exceed that.

Day 37... Friday.. still on track!

I woke up and I felt better this morning.. For breakfast I had a special K cereal bar and coffee with my protein powder. I've found that the protein powder really helps keep me full until lunch. I used to have those hunger pains but they are now a thing of the past.

For lunch we had Boston Market. I had the 3 piece dark meal with a side of steamed veggies. I didn't want the cornbread but they seem to continue to put it on my plate! I threw it away. I did order a half Mediterranean salad as a side I noticed it had chicken on it, I wasn't aware so I decided that I didn't want to eat that for lunch. I had to rush to a meeting so I had to throw the chicken and veggies back quick.

I had to leave work early to do drug testing for my job, that took some time. After we sat there for about an hr I started to get hungry. I decided to eat my salad for a snack when I got home.. WOW that was great.. I think I have a new favorite at Boston Market. I also had a weight watchers Baked Cinnamon Apple snack bar.

For dinner we went to a local pizza place, it was so hard because I wanted 1 slice of pizza and a salad. That didn't happen because my husband didn't want pizza. I was a little bummed about that. I ended up ordering a Chicken Gyro with a side salad and water to drink. It wasn't great but it was just ok. Later that night I had a cupcake but I feel like I burned that off when we did Just Dance on the Wii. That is a fun game but you have to be in better shape, I felt like my  heart was going to jump out of my chest.

Day 36... Time to recover and start fresh!

This morning started pretty run of the mill. I had a very busy morning so all I had time for was a banana. I started to feel ill that I had to go home but I wanted to eat.. so we went to chipotle and I made a choice to have a chicken burrito bowl, rice, black beans lettuce, a sprinkle of cheese and guacamole. It was sooo good and I didn't miss the sour cream or loads of cheese I usually get. I also had a side of veggies to make sure I was full.

As the day went on I started to feel better.. I snacked on some jello pudding.

For dinner I had a footlong sub from Mr. Goodcents with pepperjack cheese and loads of veggies. I thought it was a pretty good day.

Breakfast: 0 points

Lunch: 16 points

Snack: 3 points

Dinner: 15 points

Total 34 points used for the day.

Day 35... Weigh Day!

Good morning! Today is the day I weigh in.. I'm nervous after this weekend but I will still face the scale. This morning started off pretty well, I had a cup of yogurt and half a strip of lower sodium bacon before I left home. When I got to work I had my coffee with the protein powder.

For lunch my team went to a Chinese buffet.. I wasn't scared..I knew I could do this and be ok. I started with egg drop soup I know that's considered a power food. I choose dishes with veggie options. I had a small portion of mushroom chicken, some baby bok choy, 5 pieces of a California roll, 1 chicken kabob and 2 steamed dumplings. I drank plenty of water to help flush the high salt content.

I don't snack because I remember how I snacked on those cherries before I weighed in before and felt really full. I went straight for the scale after work... I gained 1/2 a pound. I was so sad, I thought I had done really well with choices but I guess not. I felt like a let myself down and I also felt that I wanted to give up for a brief moment. Well it was more than a brief moment.. that night I felt defeated and I ate what I wanted.

After the meeting she gave out samples of  a new snack bar, it was so good that I bought a box of those and another box as well. I ate 2 bars for 3 pts a piece.

Now here is the hard part.. I'm ashamed of myself but this is supposed to keep me honest right. For dinner we went to McDonald's.. I was still going to try to be somewhat good, but that didn't happen. I THOUGHT I ordered a quarter pounder, which states it's 13 points but somehow I ordered a double quarter pounder!!!! A large fry and a large sweet tea.. yes... this is bad and I feel horrible.

So here is my food breakdown for the day.

Breakfast I used 5 points total.

Lunch I used 10 points total.

Snack I used 6 points for the snack bars

Dinner I used 37 points.. that is the last time I will do that!

In total I used 58 points for the day, I went over by 4 out of my weekly. Tomorrow, I will be back on track!

Day 34.. still on track ..

This morning started off well.. I had my yogurt and protein powder, becoming a standard breakfast for me.

I had KFC for lunch.. I actually like going there. Their tender grill is pretty good. I had a 3 piece, 2 legs and 1 thigh. I decided to keep the skin on one leg only. I had green beans and mashed potatoes and half of a biscuit.

For a snack I had have of a PB&J.

Dinner I had hamburger helper, broccoli and cracked wheat rolls... no dessert tonight.

Breakfast: Yogurt (2 pts) Coffee and protein (3 pts)

Lunch: 3 piece chicken (7 pts) mashed potatoes (3 pts) green beans (0 pts) half of a biscuit (2 pts)

Snack: Half a pb&j (4 pts)

Dinner: Hamburger Helper (13 pts) Broccoli (0 pts) 2 rolls ( 5 pts)

Ended the day using 39 pts.

Day 33.. Monday and back on track!

This morning I woke up determined to get back on track, after yesterday's fiasco I wanted to make sure I did everything right.  I started my morning with yogurt and coffee with protein powder.

For lunch my friend wanted sushi.. and well I couldn't pass that up! I did make good choices, I had a California Roll, some egg drop soup and a salad with ginger dressing. Later on I snacked on grapes.

Dinner we had tuna helper and green beans. I had a cupcake for dessert.. yes I thought I kicked those but in walks my husband with a brand new box.. him and his danged sweet tooth!

Breakfast:  Yogurt (2 pts) Coffee with Protein powder (3 pts)  = 5 pts total

Lunch: California Roll (8 pts) Egg Drop soup (1 pt) Ginger salad (2 pts) 1 piece of fried sushi (2 pts) = 13 pts

Snack: grapes 0pts

Dinner: Tuna helper, a little over a cup (8 pts) 1 slice of wheat bread (1 pt) and green beans (0 pts)

Dessert: Cupcake (5 pts)

Total for the day 36 pts used.. much better than yesterday..

Day 32.... Superbowl Sunday... sad face!

This morning started hurried.. I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast. We rushed to church, very good.. AMAZING sermon.. my father in law shut it down!

After service we stopped by the store pick up the food for Sunday dinner... I got everything to make a salad.. except the lettuce! I was pretty upset with myself.. that was going to be my last saving grace. The dinner menu was as follows.

and Rotel

Let me tell you how hard it was not to jump in face first without oxygen... so this is what I ate.. oh BTW.. I did have 1 1/2 chicken strips as a snack so I didn't pass out.

I had 4 ribs, 1 chicken thigh with the skin removed, about 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup of pinto beans and a good portion of greens.

I didn't even count anything from today, I tried to figure ribs but it was much harder than I thought. I thought I got up to about 15 for the ribs alone. After that I was pretty full for the rest of the day, but I had to make Rotel an it was sooo good. I didn't get a whole portion I just grazed... so that's why I decided.. NOT TO COUNT. I haven't had a cheat day and I didn't really count this as a cheat day because I don't feel like I bombed but it wasn't the best day.

Good thing about weight watchers is.. I GET TO START FRESH TOMORROW!

Day 31... Saturday's are fun!

This morning started pretty good.. I made breakfast and it was great. I love the fact that I can scramble cheese in my eggs and not feel guilty. For breakfast I scrambled eggs with cheese, made center cut pork bacon. I stretched pancake batter to make them smaller which in turn would make lower points. I had a banana as a filler.

For lunch.. this was interesting.. I was at a baby shower and I was like decisions decisions.. However, one decision was quite clear.. there was a Costco cake with the cream cheese filling.. I was definitely having that!
I choose small items from what I wanted. I had a small portion of pasta salad, a small portion of the Mexican layer dip, a few tortilla chips and a tortilla roll up. YUMMY.. then I had a smaller piece of the cake from Costco.. I was pretty excited I made good decisions.

For dinner I needed something with lower points because I ate blindly at lunch. I had shrimp with mixed veggies and rice for dinner. Dessert was a small carton of skinny cow ice cream!

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and pancakes with syrup (10 pts)

Lunch: Baby shower goodies (24 pts)

Dinner: Shrimp with mixed veggies and rice ( 13 pts)

Dessert : ice cream (4 pts)

47 points total used for the day.. I'm getting closer!

Day...dun dun dun... 30!!!! WOO HOO!!!

So first I would like to note that making it 30 days feels amazing.. I'm very proud of myself!

Friday morning started off pretty slow, I only had protein powder and coffee for breakfast. I didn't intend for that to happen though. For lunch we went to a Mexican restaurant. I choose chicken fajitas with corn tortilla's. I only ate 2 tortilla's and all the chicken. I had a couple of chips with salsa and guacamole.. I drank water too. I thought I did pretty well considering all the temptations. For a snack I had yogurt.

For dinner we had spaghetti with whole wheat pasta. It was pretty good so had an extra half serving. I finished the night with a WW giant fudge bar.. so yummy!

Breakfast: Coffee with protein powder and creamer (2 pts)

Lunch: Tortilla Chips, salsa, guacamole, chicken, corn tortilla's (9 pts)

Snack: Yogurt (2 pts)

Dinner: Spaghetti with green beans (16 pts)

Dessert: Weight Watcher Giant Fudge Bar (3 pts)

Day 29... back to work.. YAY!!!

Today if my first day back at work since Monday due to our wonderful blizzard.. I need a tropical location :)

This morning started with my coffee with protein powder. I have realized that I'm just not going to get this stuff to mix right. A friend of mine gave me a new powder that works great and I plan to switch to that. I will keep the other stuff for shakes.

Breakfast:
1 packet of oatmeal (4 pts)
Coffee with protein powder and creamer (1 pt)

5 points total for breakfast

Lunch:
Turkey sandwich with 2% cheese slice and Wonder Smartwheat bread (4 pts)
Lean Cuisine Herb Roasted chicken ( 4 pts)

8 points total for lunch

Dinner: We went to Chili's
1/2 order of their cheese sticks with marinara (10 pts)
Margarita Chicken as served (15 pts)

25 points for dinner, it was hefty but I had the points to use

Dessert:
1 weight watcher giant fudge bar (3 pts)

Total for the day 41 points.. I'm still not at my total points of 54 but I'm getting closer!

Day 28.. Weigh Day!

Today was another snow day.. which meant another day in the house. The blizzard has passed  and  we got a TON of snow..

I made breakfast this morning. I scrambled 4 eggs and 1 slice of 2% cheese. I split this with my daughter so I had about 5 points for eggs. I learned that it's the same point value for 1 slice of 2% cheese as it is for 1/2 slice... I will use a whole slice for myself next time :)  I had 2 turkey sausage links (3 pts) and 2 slices of wheat toast with butter spray (2 pts) and 1 tbsp of reduced sugar jelly (1 pt)

For my morning snack I had a banana.

Lunch I had my turkey sandwich (4 pts) and I made myself 1 cup of chili. I decided I didn't want the whole thing so I only ate half. Eating half of my chili fixin's gave me a point total of 5 .. 9 points for lunch.. not bad right.

I didn't have an afternoon snack... today is weigh day..

I have to talk about my inspiration.... of course today I watched the latest episode of the biggest loser. So I figured, I should shovel the driveway before I went to weigh in as my last chance work out.. lol yes I know I'm a dork but hey.. I took pride in it. It took me an hour and a half to shovel my driveway.. talk about sore and cold! I felt better about getting on the scale. Before I left I made sure to empty out.. lol I know TMI.. but last week I was .2lbs away from 10lbs.

I went to weight watchers.. I looked like a dang fool. I had on capri work out pants in single digit temps with my snow boots.. lol I wanted to get an accurate weight.. I got on the scale.. today I weigh 339.1lbs! That's a total of 12.1lbs lost since I started a month ago, I lost 2.3lbs this week. I am so very excited.. I plugged my weight in on E-tools and I'm losing too quickly.. just imagine when I kick my workouts in to gear.. I'm planning on giving E-tools a heart attack!

Dinner was pretty simple, I made baked BBQ chicken breast, green beans and chicken and broccoli noodles. I also had some reduced fat crescent rolls.  I had 1 chicken breast with BBQ sauce (5 pts) green beans are 0, the noodles were 5 pts for half a cup and the crescent rolls were 5 pts for 2.

I had a cup of jello for dessert (2 pts) very refreshing

Day 27.. Another snow day!

I got up early to go to the store pending the blizzard that was heading for us. I stocked up, I didn't want to have to go back out!

So the bad thing was I was soo tired when I got home I didn't feel like cooking breakfast. I poured a bowl of cereal, I measured 2 cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and 1 cup of 1% milk. Do you know for that breakfast it was 12 points.. the cereal was 9 points alone. I won't make that mistake again! I had a banana to go with it.

For lunch I made a sandwich, I love this Wonder Smart wheat bread.. I don't feel guilty about eating it! 2 slices of  bread (2 pts) 1 slice of 2% cheese (1 pt) and turkey breast (1 pt). I had a can of healthy request Campbell's soup. The can has 2 servings so I had both :) for 6 points. 10 points for lunch isn't bad.

For an afternoon snack I had about 1 cup of grapes.

For dinner I made chili, I used the ground turkey and lean ground beef. I was so excited for it. I cut up 2 onions and 2 bell peppers and multiple cloves of garlic. I had 2 cups (12 points) of chili and 1/4th cup of cheese (3 pts). My husband got the regular stuff instead of 2%.. not that bad. I also had 10 whole wheat crackers (3 pts).

I ended my night with 1 1/2 strawberry cupcakes (8 pts). They are all gone now and hopefully another box doesn't find it's way in to this house.

Day 26... Another Monday

Today started just as any other Monday... well expect it was a cold drizzle outside. I was putting my children in the car and I almost fell about 5 times.. I was never so happy to make it safely to the drivers seat of my car!

Once I made it to work without falling, I was praying to God and then I had to thank Him. So for breakfast I tried that protein powder again.. I swear I must be the only person in the world who CAN NOT mix this stuff in coffee. My goal is to make a protein shake with it.. I'm sure that won't be bad.  So I used about 1/2 of the scoop (1 pt) and I had 2 Special K Strawberry cereal bars (5 pts). When I plugged that in to the etools I was shocked at how different this plan is. On the old points plan those bars were 3.5 pts but now they're 5. I had a 6 point breakfast.. not bad.

For lunch I had a gift card from Panera that I wanted to use. I have to give a shout out to Panera for listing their calories on their menu board.. it make it sooo much easier to make a good choice. I know I didn't know the points right then and there but based on the calories I knew I could make a better choice. I choose the pick 2 half of the Smokehouse Turkey Panini with bacon and cheese (YAY!!) and half a Greek salad. I removed the olives and the pepper. In total that meal was 14 points. I was pretty satisfied with my choice. I selected the apple as the side, I figured I could eat that later for a snack.

I was so busy at work again I didn't really get a chance to snack.. but I was still good. I wasn't starving.. I think my stomach is starting to shrink.

Day 25... Sunday ... Funday!

Rushing for church every Sunday morning has become more of the norm.. but now trying to incorporate healthy eating has been sometimes a struggle. I thought I did rather well this Sunday.. my husband bought some grapes from the gas station for me for breakfast. So I had water, grapes and I grabbed a cup of non-fat yogurt (2 pts) for breakfast.

For lunch we decided to have a healthy dinner over my in laws. We bought rotisserie chicken and we made green beans and mashed potatoes. I also made a big salad and bought a small bottle of fat free Italian dressing.  I had 3 pieces of chicken with the skin removed, breast, thigh and drumstick (7 pts). I had a serving of green beans (2 pts) and a serving of mashed potatoes (3 pts). I made a separate Huge salad.. but I ate that last and didn't eat all of it. For the dressing the point value was 1 point.  For dessert I bought grapes and strawberries. My husband picked up some chocolate dip for the strawberries, I passed on the chocolate.

They made cookies cookies and more cookies.. I just didn't want one bad enough to count points. I was still pretty satisfied from the meal. Later when we made it home, I had 2 grilled cheese sandwiches (7 pts) and some baked lays (3 pts) with a strawberry cupcake (5 pts). Ended the night pretty well.

Day 24.. Today we celebrate!

Since my baby was sick we decided to have his birthday celebration today. I planned to go to Applebees because I know I could control better what I ate.

For breakfast, I made cheese eggs 5 points, 2 slices of toast 2 points, I used my reduced sugar jelly 1 point and some turkey bacon, 4 slices for 2 points.

Ok I know that this is a very flexible diet and at times I feel guilty for writing some of the stuff that I write about I eat. For lunch, I had 2 sandwiches.. but I was totally within my points. I had 1 pb&j for 6 points and 1 grilled cheese for 3 points.. it's crazy right.. 2 sandwiches for 9 points. I passed on chips because of that.

So now it's dinner time.. at Applebees I ordered the Asiago Peppercorn Steak off of the 550 calorie menu. It comes with a 7oz sirloin but I upgraded to the 9oz cause I was hungry. I added the additional points and the total meal was 11 points. I also had a salad with the fat free Italian 1 point.

We went to McDonald's for dessert and I had my favorite ice cream and this time I had an apple pie for 11 points total.  Good end to the night.

Day 23... Today is my son's 3rd birthday!

As we know my son is sick so our plans for today didn't happen. We had planned to make cupcakes and take them to daycare for all of his friends, I will just have to do it next week.

I started this morning scrambling eggs for me and the hubby. I used 2% cheese, so in total eggs were 8 points and soo good! I had 2 slices of toast with butter spray for 2 points. I also had a banana. Very filling breakfast for 10 points total.

I have to tell you all about lunch time.. I was headed to this focus group to get get PAID baby!! lol anyway I was headed to this building and I had no idea how to find it.. I ended up parking about 2 blocks away from where I was supposed to go.. and guess what when I found the building it was up a hill.. so guess what I did.. counted those as activity points! HAHAH.. when I got there I was sweating like I was a chick on Maury checking the 10th dude for a paternity test! hahaha anyway.. so I got there and I was winded.. I need to exercise now sooner than later.

They had lunch at the focus group, I choose a vegetarian wrap with baked Sour Cream and Onion Lays a water and they had a cookie in there. The cookie didn't look point worthy so I passed on it, I figured one of my kids would like it. The wrap was ok.. I ended up eating the veggies out of it. I counted that whole meal as 4 points. When I got home I ate a PB&J for 6 points.  I later snacked on a package of  100 calorie cheese and peanut butter crackers 3 points.

Dinner was my son's choice for his birthday .. he wanted pancakes.. of course right.. so we went to Ihop.. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!

I didn't want any of their healthy meals so I selected grilled chicken, 2 breast for 6 points. I said of broccoli 0 points and buttered corn 3 points. I had a bite of the garlic bread, I counted that as 2 points because it was buttery good!! To top it off I had 1 pancake 3 points and a small amount of strawberry syrup. I counted the syrup as 3 points based off of their nutrition information.

When I got home I had a strawberry cupcake 5 points to end the night.

Day 22... My baby is sick

This morning I decided that I wanted to give this protein powder another shot.. .I can't get it to dissolve so that I can swallow it without chewing.. I'm not giving up yet! I had my oatmeal (4 pts) and half a scoop of powder (1 pt)

For lunch we decided to try a buffet.. a Chinese food buffet. I felt I could do this.. I had a portion of black pepper pork and onions, a portion of chicken and broccoli (4 pts) 1 cup of egg drop soup (1 pt) I decided to have a crab Rangoon... I'm not denying myself.. I had 1 (5 pts) and 1 spring roll instead of an egg roll. I'm not sure if I found the right point value so I counted it as 5 points. I had chicken on a stick, so I counted 3 points for a chicken kabob. I also had a steamed dumpling (1 pt). I finished lunch with a serving of pineapple from the salad bar. I was pretty excited that I didn't over do it... I SURVIVED A BUFFET!!

I was pretty satisfied from lunch so I didn't snack, but I did have a lot of water today. I go back and forth with having water but I can say my diet soda intake has decreased drastically!!! Another reason for no snack is because we sat at the clinic in Walgreen's for about 2 hrs, my son wasn't feeling well. Come to find out he has strep throat and a ear infection.. my poor baby. I hate it that he's sick but this is the only time I get to snuggle with him. Tomorrow is his 3rd birthday.. I hope he feels better so he can enjoy it.

For dinner I made chicken Parmesan with Shake and Bake (1 pt). I used a heart smart prego spaghetti sauce (2 pts) chicken breast, it was bigger so I counted it as 4 oz (4 pts). I used the ronzoni smart taste angel hair pasta (5 pts) and 2% mozzarella cheese ( 1 pt) I was a really good dinner and total 12 points.

I bought the chocolate smoothie mix from Weight Watchers because it was on sale.. I figured a good time to try it. I was looking through the recipe booklet that came with it and there was one for a chocolate shake. I had the low fat milk but not the frozen yogurt.. My husband heard me mention it so he picked some up at the store.. he's so sweet! I ended up having a chocolate shake for dinner (6 pts) .. it was soo good!

Day 21 .. weigh day!

This morning I was determined to use the protein powder and have it taste somewhat decent. OMG.. it looked like vomit floating on the top of my coffee cup. I cried to a friend of mine and she brought me some of hers that tasted great! Thanks girly! I didn't use as much so it was even a 0 point value. I also had my packet of oatmeal. (4 pts) I didn't want to go overboard today so I could get full credit for my weight loss.

For lunch we went for sushi.. I had egg drop soup with very few crispy noodles and a California roll. Now my friend had a Crazy Monkey roll which is fried.. I had 1 piece and I counted that as 2. She also gave me a small amount of fried rice.. counted that as 1. My egg drop soup was 1 pt and my California roll was 8 pts. I drank plenty of water to keep flushing. I decided not to have a sack today so I would have a very accurate weigh in.

I got to weight watchers and I got the products I was ordered to buy .. lol friends love the weight watcher snacks but not on the program.. they are so crazy! ok.. so I got on the scale.. down 1.8lbs.. I am at 9.8lbs .2lbs away from my first 10 lbs lost. I hope to get in more physical activity this week so that number will increase.

I had a tiny treat for myself after I left.. I cheeseburger from McArches.. It taste like dirt (not really but I have to say that to keep sanity) it was 8 pts. When I got home I had a piece of toast with butter spray 0 pts and reduced sugar jelly (1 pt).

For dinner I decided to make a Fettuccine Alfredo recipe from weight watchers.. it was CRAP!!! Well the taste was good but the sauce was watery.. I was very upset. My husband brought me a WW fudge bar and painted my toes to make me feel better.. he's a good guy!

Day 20.. .yep 20 days in!

Good morning all... today I'm starting to use protein powder in my coffee in the morning. I don't think I mixed it right.. It was horribly chalky and too many particles floating, I still sucked it down. So I had 1 scoop (2 pts) of protein powder in my coffee. 1 package of oatmeal (4 pts) and a banana (0 pts) for breakfast.  Not a bad start to the day right!

For lunch we decided to eat Jason's Deli. I scoured the menu to find something that I would enjoy. I found a turkey wrap that had sprouts and guacamole (10 pts)... I was so excited. With that  I had fruit on the side with water to drink to wash it all down. Again I felt I was making great choices.

When I got home I made a half pb&j (6 pts) I just used one slice of bread so I could save some points. For dinner I was going to make a chicken Alfredo recipe that I found online but we ran out of time to make sure we werent' eating too late. We went to KFC for dinner and I had 1 serving of mashed potatoes with gravy (3 pts) , 1 serving of green beans (0 pts) and 3 pieces of chicken. I had 1 leg and I left the skin on (3 pts) 1 breast without skin (3 pts) and 1 wing without skin (1 pt) Do you know how hard it is to not eat skin on KFC!!! I had a bigger goal so I felt great for pulling the skin off. The biscuit from KFC is 5 points so I decided that if  I was going to have those points I would have a strawberry cupcake ( 5 pts). Great end to the night, tomorrow is weigh day I hope that the scale goes down this week.. Wish me luck!

Day 19... Start of a new work week

This morning started off a little different. We are having car issues so we are down to one. I had to work from home in the morning to wait for my husband to wake up. He worked over night, so I waited so that  we could drive in to the office together.

For breakfast I had 2 cups of fruit loops cereal (6 pts) and 3/4th cup of 2% milk (2 pts). I was pretty satisfied after that, not stuffed but I felt I had enough.

Oh I forgot to mention, the night before when we had Chinese, I had some left over that I planned to take for lunch but I left it out all night.. I was really upset with myself about that. So for lunch I had a salad with grilled chicken and light Italian dressing and a apple. Total point value of my lunch was 4 pts. However the red onions did an number on my breath! For a dessert I had a jello chocolate pudding cup (3 pts).

Ok so here is a bit of a confession.. I bought a box of strawberry cupcakes because I felt like I could control my urges to eat the whole box. 1 cupcake is 5 pts and the first night I had them I had 2. Now yes I had enough points to cover what I ate but I kinda felt like it was empty calories. Now that doesn't mean that they weren't good! I brought one to work to have as a snack.. and I had it during my midday snack. It taste great but I didn't feel like it provided energy or anything that I could use as fuel.. I have decided to lay off the rest of those cupcakes!

On the way home from work I had a 2 pt dark chocolate WW bar, to tide me over until dinner. I had planned to make Hamburger Helper for dinner.. Nice meal with low points. I browned the meat and put on broccoli as a side. Well.. I was just about to put the mix in when I realized I didn't have enough milk! So I had to think quick.. I could still make it with less milk.. but it might not taste as good. I looked through my cabinets and found taco shells. Voila! We're having tacos! I had 2 boxes of shells, a whole grain shell by Ortega (3 pts for 2 shells) and some thin corn shells by La Tiara (1 pt per shell). I had some 2% mild cheddar (2 pts for 1/4th cup), some lettuce that I shredded and a tomato. We still had  healthy dinner after all. I had 2 Ortega shells and 1 La Tiara shell then I made a little salad without the shells. After I figured everything I had about 13 points, most of that was for the ground beef!

After dinner we had dessert, I had a WW Giant Fudge Bar (3 pts) those used to be 1 point on the old plan and 2 thin mint cookies (2 pts) I was a pretty good day!

Day 18... Sunday Sunday...

I woke up this morning thinking we were going to be snowed in but God had a different plan.. He said... YOU'RE TAKING YOUR BEHIND TO CHURCH! I needed it too.. I felt the message really spoke to me, I just still trying to shake a personal situation that I feel like is blocking my blessings.

I started the morning with 3 hard boiled eggs and a cup of water. After the night before I felt I needed to take it easy. After church we went to Jack Stack and we had a barbequed chicken, broccoli and sliced turkey and ham. They put some type of oil on the broccoli so I counted a point value of 2. For the chicken, I removed the skin but I did have barbeque sauce. I had half a chicken breast (1 pt) 1 chicken leg (1 pt) I ate the toast that came with it (2 pts) I had half a chicken wing with the skin removed (1 pt) 2 slices of turkey (1 pt) and 1 slice of ham (2 pts) I had about 4 tbsp of bbq sauce (3 pts). I had iced tea with Splenda to drink. It was a pretty satisfying lunch.

After we left everyone had a sweet tooth. We went to McDonald's and they ordered cookies and sundaes but I knew that I only wanted a vanilla cone (4 pts). I was very proud of myself for not giving in to temptation. There were plenty of cookies but again the night before since I had that wonderful dessert I knew that I could pass on that.

We had Chinese for dinner.. it's always a safe bet, tons of veggies and lean meat. I had about 1 1/2 cups of chicken and mixed veggies (5 pts) and 1 cup of rice (5 pts). I had a 2 cups of egg drop soup (2 pts) and I use those crispy fried noodles (1 pt). 

I decided that I had a pretty good day and I had enough points left so I had strawberry cupcakes (11 pts). I had 7 points left for the day. Not a bad day!
